Young Adult Ministries and Services
Join us for our monthly night of Young Adult Ministry! Like everything we do at LY, YAMS is open to any and all young adults looking for, (or maybe stumbling upon), a community where they can explore their spirituality (whatever that may be). We are not a "Church group" but we are a "church community" that seeks to meet young people where they are in everyday life. We are a space designed for fun, togetherness, and faith exploration. We meet in homes, graveyards, and downtown streets in hopes of providing a space to explore your faith and yourself around likeminded people.
Be curious, come as you are, let go, and have fun!

Burrito Project & Movie Night
Home for the Holiday's? Whether it is school, work, or just a Tuesday wrapping up for you, here's a change to wrap some more! We will gather to make, wrap, and hand out 150+ Burritos to people in need downtown. After everyone has been fed, you can head back to St. John for a projector showing of Elf! Bring a blanket and pillow to wrap yourself in for a night of service, fun, and friends.

Friendsgiving
Share food, community, and devotions with other young adults across WNY. LY's Young Adult Ministry is a new outlet for young people to question, feel, and experience their faith beyond the typical Sunday Worship model. It is open to anyone who seeks an intentional community and a safe space to explore their spirituality. Guided by games, sharing a meal, and the guidance of likeminded ministers, we want YAM's to be an adaptable and non-traditional space that recalls the roots of early Christianity and fellowship.
Join us for our third gathering as we break bread at our Friendsgiving dinner!
Come as you are and bring what you'd like. No pressure to be anything or anyone you're not. So if you aren't a cook, consider buying a pie or maybe some drinks. Bring a yam if all else fails. We'd just be happy you're there

Walk With the Dead
Join us for another night of Young Adult Ministry!
No requirements, no costs, no commitments—just show up!
Our second gathering will be on Tuesday, October 29th at 5:00 PM. We’ll all gather together and then walk just five minutes down the road to Forest Lawn Cemetery. From there we will enjoy the Fall weather, colors, and feels in preparation for Halloween. After dusk, we will head back together to share food, stories, and devotion led by Pastor Jamie and Pastor Roger.
This is open to all, so feel free to bring a friend!

Autumn Equinox Party
Our first gathering will be on September 17th at 6:00 PM at my apartment in Buffalo. We’ll enjoy breakfast for dinner, hang out, and have a short devotion led by Pastor Jamie and Pastor Roger. This first meeting will also be a time to plan future gatherings together.
This is open to all, so feel free to bring a friend!
Being close to the Fall Equinox the theme we will be exploring is "the middle" or the halfway points of life.
I'm super excited to get together and get this thing going! See you all soon.
